After a minor disaster of my graphics tablet deciding not to function and getting it fixed finally (2 hrs of re-installations, reboots and driver downloads) I got down to doing something. Not done much recently in the way of presentable artwork. I was trying a slightly different style of doing the lineart in this.
This is the progress so far after a few hrs in Open Canvas.
Sketched in OC, and Linework about 80% complete.
Everything is subject to change and such, so if anybody wants to suggest some ideas/improvements, be my guest.
Program used: OpenCanvas 3.03e plus
EDIT: 270105
Figured that ther was no point in continuing to ink the image until the details have been figured out as the line weighting would have to be changed if new details are added.
Quickly played around with some of the design and such. When I'm happy with the blue sketch overlay, then i'll continue with the inking.
Still not decided on many things about this image (such as background, lighting, deails, accesaries, etc), may alter quite a lot in the next few days.
EDIT: 060605
Yeesh, completely forgot about this pic, had not touched it in Months.
Completed the linework.
Started shading, trying a different technique for shading.
Still lots left to do, colours and details are subject to change, that is if I feel like it.
Got a rough idea fora background, but will require some image research for it.
I've beeen staring at this, trying to come up with a USEFUL critique. ^__^
the only thing is, could she really be balancing that HUGE sword like that? 0.o and her head looks too far forward, but I'm pretty sure THAT is just a result of me studying the Alexander Technique (nothing to do with drawing) so, ignore that if you wish.
Really, really nice, PG. ^__^

Ok... Critique. The head is fine, but the mouth kinda looks like it's protruding slightly.
Other than that, it's great.
